Terms of Service & Refund Policy
UPUBLIC Ltd (trading as UPUBLIC and The Interpreting Hub)
Last updated: September 2026
These terms apply whenever you buy a course or resource, create an inHUB account, or otherwise use The Interpreting Hub (a sub-brand of UPUBLIC Ltd, "we", "us"). By completing a purchase or creating an account, you agree to them.
1. Who we are
- Company name: UPUBLIC Ltd
- Company number: NI738541 (registered in Northern Ireland)
- Registered address: 48 Bachelors Walk, Lisburn, Co. Antrim, BT28 1XN
- Contact email: info@upublic.ltd
2. What we sell
Courses and resources are digital content — e-learning sessions and downloadable files, delivered to your inHUB account rather than posted or shipped. Some courses (currently the FLEX e-learning course) are only granted to verified FLEX OCN4 students, confirmed by us before access is unlocked — creating an account or adding it to your basket doesn't guarantee access on its own.
3. Prices & payment
Prices are shown in GBP (£) and include any discount displayed at checkout. Payment is processed securely by our payment provider, Revolut — we never see or store your full card details. A contract between you and us is formed once your payment is confirmed, at which point access is granted to your account.
4. Your right to cancel, and immediate digital access
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you normally have 14 days to cancel an online purchase without giving a reason. For digital content like ours, that right ends as soon as we start giving you access — because there'd be no way to "return" a course or file once you've been able to view it.
At checkout, you're asked to confirm you understand this and agree to immediate access, which means giving up the standard 14-day cancellation right for that purchase. We only grant access once you've given that confirmation.
5. Refunds
Even though the legal cancellation right doesn't apply once you have access, we want you to be genuinely happy with what you've bought. We'll offer a full refund if:
- the course or file you received is faulty, corrupted, or materially not as described, or
- you were charged in error (e.g. a duplicate purchase), or
- you contact us within 14 days of purchase and haven't meaningfully accessed the content (e.g. downloaded the files, or started an e-learning session).
Outside of these, refunds are at our discretion — get in touch and we'll always look at it fairly. This doesn't affect your other statutory rights, including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (e.g. if digital content is not of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, or as described).
To request a refund, contact info@upublic.ltd.
6. Your account and access
Access to a course or resource is personal to your account and not for resharing, resale, or redistribution. We may revoke access if these terms are breached. Course and resource content remains our intellectual property (or that of our delivery partners, e.g. FLEX Language Services) — buying access licenses you to use it for your own personal learning, not to copy, publish, or distribute it.
7. Gifts
If you buy something as a gift, you (the buyer) are the one who agrees to these terms and completes payment; the recipient gets access once the gift is processed. The refund terms above apply based on the purchase, not on whether the recipient has personally used the content yet.
8. Liability
We provide our courses and resources with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or anything else that can't legally be limited or excluded. Beyond that, our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant course or resource.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, for example as our services develop. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version. Continuing to use The Interpreting Hub after a change means you accept the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Northern Ireland, and any disputes will be handled by the courts of Northern Ireland. This doesn't affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
